How can you help?

Donations to support the Karuna Foundation via Australian Foundation for Asia Pacific (AFAP) www.afap.org :

AFAP and Karuna Foundation are working jointly in the delivery of aid to communities overseas.
AFAP closely monitors the work of Karuna Foundation to ensure the delivery of relief and/or development programs in Cambodia in terms of project outcomes.
AFAP allows Karuna Foundation to use donated funds or donations in kind only for benevolent activities undertaken by Karuna. We at Karuna Foundation do not have DGR status in our own right and are relying on AFAP’s DGR endorsed status by the ATO.
AFAP retains the ultimate discretion whether to distribute any funds in accordance with
the preference expressed by the donor.

Donations greater than $250 may wish to direct their funds to a specific purpose such as those itemised below. AFAP will make every effort to ensure the funds are deployed to each donors requested purpose

The Karuna Foundation is now looking for sponsors who are interested in establishing more permanent links with us to support the children on an ongoing basis. This may be a simple monthly contribution starting at $45 per month debited to your bank account/ credit card or an annual contribution at a level affordable to you. Our sponsors may be an individual, school, club or a collection of staff members from a company. It is our clear intention to keep you up to date and informed of the achievements of children at the Karuna Children’s Centre and the project’s major activities so that we build a strong and interested family of supporters.

All contributions over $2 are tax deductible. A reminder that $45 pays for a teacher for one month, $ 35 per month will feed and clothe a child, $40 per month will pay for a carer, and our overall cost per child per day to keep the centre running is $2 or $60 per month per child.
